Rising electricity supply from wind and solar power is good for the planet but challenging for grid operators. Converting surplus volumes of zero-carbon power into storable fuels spreads the environmental benefits across sectors – helping to decarbonize industry and transport. The power-to-X process allows for just that by converting green electricity into a carbon-neutral synthetic fuels, storable until needed.

Jeff is vice president of Clean Energy Solutions for Thomassen Energy and PSM, leading aftermarket Multi-OEM gas turbine technology-enabled service solution providers for the global power generation industry and owned by Hanwha.He is responsible for identifying new business opportunities leveraging Thomassen's and PSM's advanced high hydrogen combustion system retrofits coupled with their full gas turbine service portfolio. Jeff has been in the power industry since 1986, starting his career with GE, and received his BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and a MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

Erik Zindel from Siemens Energy is Vice President for Generation Sales - Hydrogen and leads the initiative for hydrogen combustion in gas turbine as well as business development around the hydrogen value chain. Erik has been with Siemens for 27 years out of Germany, Spain, Mexico, South Korea and the UK, working on large fossil-fired as well as industrial power plants and renewables. He grew up in the Spanish city of Zaragoza and holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from TU Darmstadt.

Dr.-Ing. Florian Gruschwitz started his career as Senior Project Manager in R&D for Power Plant Auxiliary Systems at MAN Energy Solutions in 2007. Further on, he had several responsibilities in the Production and Engineering departments of the company. Currently, he is an active driver in the International Business Development & New Energy Solutions Division with a technology focus on Power-to-X Solutions. Florian holds a PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology as well as a Master of Laws Degree from University of Saarland.

Carsten Bührer is Head of Technology for PNE AG in Cuxhaven, Germany, a leading provider for clean energy solutions. In his professional career he gained in depth and hands on expertise in areas of renewable energy industries, electric utilities, and the metals working sector. He successfully implemented new and high-efficiency technologies and applications. Carsten Bührer holds a PhD in physics with additional expertise in business administration. His priority fields are in new technology applications for industry and power utility systems. In 2009 he was awarded the German Environmental Award.

Christoph is co-CEO of P2X Europe, Hamburg, developing and implementing integrated end-to-end Power-to-Liquid (PtL) technology solutions to enable the market introduction of synthetic net-zero eFuels. He founded and led the company Solarbelt FairFuel and is the pioneering architect of world’s first fully integrated PtL pilot plant. Over the past 25 years, Christoph held various strategic and managerial leadership positions in investment banking, renewable energy and climate change, advocating green growth, biodiversity and decarbonization of aviation. He is the former Head of Investment Banking & Capital Markets China for Allianz Group and an international trade negotiator for the European Commission.
