Ansaldo Energia’s Hydrogen Day

Excess volumes of fluctuating renewable energy can be stored in the form of hydrogen to enable CO2-free dispatchable power generation. Researchers at Ansaldo Energia are working to develop new turbine solutions that can burn up to 70% hydrogen, with manageable or no retrofitting at all. At ENI’s Brindisi power plant, an Ansaldo AE94.3A gas turbine is already running on low-cost industrial offgas with a high hydrogen rate.

  • Register below to listen to Daniela Gentile, CEO of Ansaldo Green Tech and Stefano Gianatti, Ansaldo Energia Executive Vice President Service, elaborating on which power plant modifications are necessary to ensure hydrogen co-firing at a rate of over 5%, over 42% or even larger than 70% in a stable and economically attractive manner.
