Janne Harstad has more than 30 years extensive experience in oil and gas Offshore, Onshore and Subsea. As a multidiscipline leader with a strong engineering background, she held several management positions at Aker: Since November 2020, she is heading the Carbon team within the Renewables segment and prior to that she was SVP for Subsea Products Norway, Trees, WOS, Tie-in, Structures and Umbilicals with two manufacturing sites (Moss and Tranby), and earlier Project Manager for the Technology Center Mongstad Amine CO2 Catch Plant, EPC contract for test facility plant. Janne holds a Master of Science, Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology of Trondheim, (NTNU) as well as Senior Project Management Education II from NTNU and has attended the Project Executive Program, at MIT Sloan School in Massachusetts U.S.

Since joining BASF SE in 1988 in Ludwigshafen, Germany, Andreas held various positions in research, marketing and sales. In 2005, Andreas took over responsibility for BASF’s global Gas Treatment business. BASF’s suit of Gas Treating technologies covers a wide range of applications in multiple industry segments. More than 10 years ago, BASF started developing carbon capture technology together with RWE and Linde and has several commercially operating references.

Andrew Baxter co-founded Sustainable Energy Solutions at the end of 2008 to help develop a breakthrough integrated carbon capture and energy storage technology. He has led the company through the development and demonstration of this technology to date and remains the president and CEO of SES which was acquired by Chart Industries in December of 2020. Prior to his work at SES, Andrew spent two years at Zinch.com. He holds a degree in Economics and Business from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Rice University.

Manuel Herraiz is responsible for commercial deployment and customer origination of CO2 Sequestration at Tenaska, Inc. which is developing multiple CCS hubs across the US. The aim is to help industries reduce their carbon footprint and monetise the captured carbon by making use of incentives such as the 45Q tax credit. Prior to his current role, Manuel worked for Siemens Energy and Dresser Rand out of Houston as well as with NASA’s system engineering department on the Constellation program. He holds a Master in Engineering from Madrid University (UC3M).
